RIDING INTO WAR

For the last couple of weeks a extension group from Rm15 is reading in Rm14  the  book we are reading is RIDING INTO WAR. Billy a main character he had a big big change to his life when he lost his best mate at war he lost a leg and he had to give up his horse Tui. All of this affected his life because he needs to adapt to a life with one leg his best mate R.I.P and giving up his fav horse Tui. this is a really touching book the characters are: Alice,Billy,Jack,MR and Mrs Bowman, Mr and Mrs Thomson,Tui,Spirit,Chopper,trojan and the vet. The boys and the horses were in the wellington mounted rifles regiment they trained at Egypt and then left their horses behind and went a fought on foot at Gallipoli. There were 3800 horses and only one returned her name was Bess there is a book about her by the author Susan Brocker who also wrote the book i was reading called RIDING INTO WAR. It was a  hard life for those in Gallipoli SO LETS SAY "LEST WE FORGET"
